Arita Porcelain Large Wall Display Platter, Peony Motif
Arita Porcelain Large Wall Display Platter, Peony Motif
In classical Japanese homes, large porcelain platters were rarely kept hidden in cupboards. They were brought out to catch the sunlight on a sideboard or hung on the wall to mark the changing seasons.
Made in Arita by Shuho Studio, this generous 34 cm display platter is centered around bold peony blooms—a motif long associated with nobility and good fortune. The rich red, deep blue, and gold tones give it a warm, commanding presence without feeling overly formal.
Designed specifically for display, the reverse side features pre-drilled holes in the foot ring, allowing you to easily thread a wire or cord for wall hanging. Whether displayed on a plate stand or mounted as wall art, it brings a quiet focal point to modern living spaces.
