Japanese antique cabinet, 100-years old, a simple bookkeeping chest of drawers from the Meiji era. A choba dansu is a chest of drawers used from the Edo period (1603-1868) to store money, goods, account books, etc. in the bookkeeping rooms of merchants' houses during the Meiji period (1868-1912).
